Friends of the Upper Highland Lakes Nature Center Project

The Friends of the Upper Highland Lakes Nature Center have developed a large area of land located at Reveille Peak Ranch (105 CR114, Burnet, TX) where young people and adults can learn about and experience nature first hand.

The garden area, co-sponsored by the Nature Center, Master Gardeners, Master Naturalists, and the Native Plant Society, consists of a Demonstration Garden (raised bed, archway, keyhole garden, etc) and a Pollinator/Butterfly Garden.

Volunteers have an opportunity to plant and cultivate native plants in a variety of garden situations to be used as illustrations for visiting groups who come to experience the Nature Center (Master Gardener and Master Naturalists Training Classes and others).  The Friends of the Nature Center fund the purchase of plants and supplies.
