2020 Scholarship Program Information and Instructions
Mission Statement: The HLMGA educates the public in the most advanced horticultural ideas and practices. In support of its mission, the Association offers scholarships to qualified applicants from Burnet County who intend to pursue or are pursuing an undergraduate degree in horticultural sciences or a related field.
The HLMGA Scholarship is awarded each year if there are qualified applicants based on the following:
*Applicants must have primary residency in Burnet County;
*Currently attending or accepted to an accredited university, technical school or institution
which offers horticultural or agricultural related degree/certification programs.
*Formally declared Horticultural, Agriculture or related fields as the "Course of Study" (see
attached list);
*Academic achievement, activities and leadership in both school and community.
*Completion of the HLMGA application process.
The number of scholarships awarded is dependent upon the number of qualified applicants as determined by the scholarship committee.
***If you are a high school senior entering a program, please proceed to the
Application for High School Seniors.
***If you are already enrolled in a program in horticultural sciences or related
fields, please proceed to the Application for Current College Students.
***Be sure to download the appropriate Certification and Checklist for your
application packet.
